Not sure if you have an allergy or your symptoms are due to an allergy? GP Matters has a trained and medically qualified Doctor to assist you.

Dr McAlister has completed an Allergy Degree Module through the National Respiratory Training Centre and works part time as an Allergy Specialist at Glasgow Yorkhill Hospital.

We offer the following services:

  • A comprehensive assessment of the patient's history/symptoms and the appropriate physical examination.

  • Skin prick tests to confirm your sensitivity to particular allergens (ie. pollen, dust, cats).

  • Blood tests where indicated (ie. peanut and other food allergies).

  • Allergy desensitisation (immunotherapy), which involves a series of injections to reduce the sensitivity to allergens such as grass pollen and dust.
